YOUTH EMPLOYMENT
Parkside (Special Needs) Career and Technology Youth Summer Employment Program
The Chamber Foundation was selected to provide job readiness and life skills training coupled with employer recruitment and placement services for the summer employment of special needs youth enrolled in various CTE Programs. These services started in the summer of 2008, were changed to a year round monthly workshop format in 2009 and were ended due to not being selected for funding grant in 2011. Statistics for the program are as follows:

Telamon Corporation Out of School Youth Employment Program
The Chamber Foundation was selected to provide job training workshops coupled with employer recruitment and placement services for the employment of out of school youth ages 16 to 21. These services were provided from 2008 to 2010. Statistics for the program are as follows:

FOCUS (Foster Care Youth) Employment Program
The Chamber Foundation was selected to provide interview preparation, employer recruitment, and placement services for fifty youth who were in the Foster Care Program. From March 2009 through June 2010. A total of 14 youth were interviewed for paid work experiences and 13 of those youth were placed into paid work experiences.
Stimulus Funded Youth Summer Employment Program
The Chamber Foundation was selected by Telamon Corporation to provide job readiness training coupled with employer recruitment and placement services for a total of 47 youth (both in and out of school) in 2010. A total of 45 youth were placed in paid work experiences.
